Stone Work

Stone walls, and particularly rubble walls, have been a building system for a millennia. They are composed of irregularly-shaped and sized pieces of stone.

Through the ages, European practice has been to use rubble walls as fortifications, retaining walls, buildings, and as the backing for a more decorative and durable stone exterior.

In more modern applications, stone has been adapted to anchored veneer cavity wall systems and provides many visually appealing patterns such as random rubble, coursed rubble, ashlar pattern (square-cut), and also dimensioned stone which is typically mechanically fastened with a stainless steel engineered support system.

From quarry to keystone, we have experience in every aspect of the natural and manufactured stone industry and we aim to build on the value of our experience whenever we set forth on a project.

A timeless appeal

Many architects simply love the natural beauty that stone work can bring to a project. When used as a feature within the design or as a base veneer material, it provides a timeless element of class and unmatched durability.

There are also many design and engineering considerations when choosing to work with stone. At Trademark Masonry, we recognize that challenge and strive to get ahead of any foresee-able problems that may arise. We do our very best to serve our clients in the early stages of a project by providing experienced budget and design advice so that the finished product is the best it can be.

We’d love to show you more about our experience with various stone applications as well as how you could utilize stone on your next project.
